This quarter's PBL is called It's Phenomenal. Students will explore some of the craziest natural phenomena on the planet! This month students learned about the ancient Egyptian pyramids and their written language called petroglyphs. Students recreated petroglyps in a cave using paper bags. They also learned how the Egyptians created the first paper and then created newspapers using different kinds of shapes. Using play dough, students matched beginning sounds of letters with pictures. Our teachers were also able to tie in their newspapers with their service learning project this month to help the Hurricane Harvey Victims in Texas. |
