Students observed the feeding behavior and success rate of blue gill feeding on brine shrimp in two different environments; one with sea-grass and one without.
Sea-grasses provide a safe habitat to many small fish and crustaceans. If sea-grass meadows are present, it is hard for predators to find their prey. However, on mudflats there is nowhere for these small animals to hide.
