The students at KLC III are involved in service learning at the local church on Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour each day. This activity combines the learning goals and community service in ways that can only enhance both student growth and the common good. It involves students in a service project in which they get to apply classroom learning, as well as, to effect positive change in the community. Students are learning about packaging in their PBL and here the students get to be involved in packaging foods for the local community and is also exposed to various ways foods and other goods are packaged. |
