Students will culminate the scientific study of water and the water cycle and the human need for clean and safe drinking water. They learned about the important role of environmental engineers in providing and maintaining water quality. In this unit, students will explore and discuss the field of agricultural engineering, the role of insects in the natural system of pollination, the technologies of hand pollination and Integrated Pest Management.
After school students will recognize that agricultural engineers utilize insects’ natural behavior through Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Students often considered insects to be pests, harming or destroying crops and inflicting irritating bites. Students will be challenged to think as agricultural engineers, who design solutions to problems concerning living things or biology in the natural world |
