This Spring Break, students went back in time to learn about ancient civilizations. While learning about Egypt, students made paper mache mummies and tried mummifying apples while learning why and how the Egyptians mummified their loved ones. While learning about Greece, students built the Parthenon, painted pottery in original Greek patterns, and reenacted a few of the very famous Greek plays. While learning about Ancient China, students built the Great wall and ancient bamboo scrolls. Then to wrap it up, students then learned about the ancient civilizations from here in South Florida by visiting the Miccosukee Indian Village. |
