Working alongside with The Children’s Trust, and 21 Century, we hold an annual food drive that allows the students to understand their community and have a life learning lessons as they complete this service learning project. Some of the questions the students will accomplish in understanding are: What will the students learn from this project? How to collect canned goods to benefit the less fortunate and families in need. How will this project help the community? It will provide canned goods for families in need. Outline preparation details: Discuss families in need, how we can help, make a plan for our food drive. We are able to provide 4 families in the community with a full Turkey meal to share with their family this holiday season. |
